Belohorec-type Oscillation Theorem for Second Order Sublinear Dynamic Equations on Time Scales

Consider the Emden-Fowler sublinear dynamic equation (0.1) x(t) + p(t)x(σ(t)) = 0, where p ∈ C(T, R), where T is a time scale, 0 < α < 1, α is the quotient of odd positive integers. When p(t) is allowed to take on negative values, we obtain a Belohorec-type oscillation theorem for (0.1). As an application, we get that the sublinear difference equation (0.2) ∆x(n) + p(n)x(n+ 1) = 0, is oscillato...

A New Central Limit Theorem under Sublinear Expectations

We describe a new framework of a sublinear expectation space and the related notions and results of distributions, independence. A new notion of G-distributions is introduced which generalizes our G-normal-distribution in the sense that mean-uncertainty can be also described. W present our new result of central limit theorem under sublinear expectation. This theorem can be also regarded as a ge...

Oscillation Criteria for Sublinear Half-Linear Delay Dynamic Equations

This paper is concerned with oscillation of the second-order half-linear delay dynamic equation (r(t)(x)) + p(t)x(τ(t)) = 0, on a time scale T where 0 < γ ≤ 1 is the quotient of odd positive integers, p : T → [0,∞), and τ : T → T are positive rd-continuous functions, r(t) is a positive and (delta) differentiable function, τ(t) ≤ t, and lim t→∞ τ(t) = ∞. We establish some new sufficient conditio...

A note on Hjorth's oscillation theorem

We reformulate, in the context of continuous logic, an oscillation theorem proved by G. Hjorth and give a proof of the theorem in that setting which is similar to, but simpler than, Hjorth’s original one. The point of view presented here clarifies the relation between Hjorth’s theorem and first-order logic.
